Accommodation options in Rodeiro for April walkers

The Hostal Carpinteiras is now accepting booking through Booking.com right into the summer so I am booking late April today. I also booked Hotel Vilaseco by just sending them an email off their website a while ago but I see now they are also open on Booking.com.

Choosing between Primitivo and Sanabrés for my upcoming Camino trip

I have walked the southern Sanabre...starting in Chaves Portugal as it was easy to get to from Porto. (there is a northern and southern route that connect before Ourense)Super quiet the first five days...didn't see another pilgrim. Beautiful route. Some accommodation challenges as there are no...

    La Plata in March 2022

I have a flight booked with fingers crossed for next April. Flying into Porto...bus to Chaves and start walking to Verin and the southern Sanabres through Allariz to Santiago. I imagine that route is super quiet which is exactly what I am looking for.

Found a really fine thread on the route I will be taking...the details I was looking for...yahoo. https://www.wikiloc.com/hiking-trails/caminho-portugues-do-interior-etapa-12-verin-villaderei-vila-de-rei-cpi-24739987

    Sanabres in the spring

Thanks...yes I see there is no albergue in Allariz. Looks like a pretty little town so I will likely get a hotel for the night.

    Sanabres in the spring

I did find a forum about this travels by lovingkindness from 2010. He/she walked this route from Verin to Ourensa in 3 days...I am going to take a bit more time. There appears to be an Albergue in Villa Del Rey and in Sandias that may be newer than 2010...all looks lovely...

    Sanabres in the spring

I should clarify...Verin to Ourensa through Xinzo de Limia and Allariz...not through Laza.

    Sanabres in the spring

Hello...flying Toronto to Porto..bus to Chaves Portugal and hiking north to Verin next April. Verin to Ourensa along the Sanabres route...I imagine it will be very quiet that time of year. Anyone who has done this route and has suggestions or comments...I am all ears! Thanks kindly.

    Transportation to Ponte de Lima

We are starting in Ponte de Lima on Easter Sunday. Looks like the bus runs later in the morning so it would arrive to late to start hiking so we have decided to take the morning train to Viana do Castelo and spend the morning visiting that beautiful city and them catch a bus to Ponte de Lima in...
