Your one picture that captures how you feel about being on the Camino!

Two photos... To remember how beautiful it was and the fantastic people I met there - and the fact that even when tired I was always happy and seeing it as a welcomed challenge. I wish I will appriciate all people in my life after the Camino and retain my sense of humor with the challenges I...

Are you thinking to walk the Camino (the way of the Saint James) again?

I just finished my CF - and I know I will do it again. I get back home and start to work and I know the life will get too busy again and I need another brake - another time to be with myself again. Walking the Camino is so much more than any other kind of holiday could ever be. So I will come...

The camino is boring landscapes, paved roads, traffic…

Camino is not calling everyone. If Swiss mountains are okay for someone - they should enjoy hiking there. No need to try to pass one’s ’Camino adiction’ to others. Anyhow, life is the Camino - we are all on our own path. I am walking CF now - just finished the meseta. I love being here and...

Poll How heavy is your backpack?

My backbag on the winter Camino weights about 12kg. I feel I need everything and it does feel comfortable to wear but it might be too heavy for the knees.

    Motivation for Training

I am going to do my first camino in Jan and been trying to train a little too enthusiasticly so I got knee problems. Now I wish I had taken it a little easier. Getting the muscles strong around the knee would be good, I think. Downhill parts will be the hardest for knees. Little worried if I...

    Camino Frances Jan 2020

Thank you for the answers. Still wondering if it might be quite easy to get lost in the winter time? Is 25 km per day even possible or must there be many longer days than that?

    Camino Frances Jan 2020

Snow is okay. Being from Finland I am used to blizzards and even -30 degrees Celcius. It won’t get that cold I am sure. I like the idea of less piligrims - and the cold is easier for me than hot would be. I suppose if albergues are closed some other accommodation is available?

    Camino Frances Jan 2020

I would like to walk camino Frances starting during the first week ofJanary 2020. Will I find albergues open along the whole way? I wish to start in Roncesvalles since I am a bit concerned to cross the Pyrennees in the winter. All advice is heartly welcome. This is my first camino!
