    My daughter taking a break somewhere near Contamine-Sarzin on Via Gebennensis in May 2022. The bench (le Banc du Pèlerin) had been put there in 2016, but the colors of it acted as a very actual reminder to pray for peace in Ukraine.

    Hej! You should have! Germany is so full of well marked, easy to follow "Jakobswegs". I used to live in Ulm and on one Saturday morning in crispy October weather I basically just opened the door and started walking towards Santiago. All the way to the Swiss boarder I did only weekend day trips...

    Chanaz, France, Via Gebennensis July 2023. The hanging umbrellas did not really help. It was well over 30 degrees Celsius that day.

    If you end up taking the route through Ulm, you WILL have a place to sleep! My family is still in Ulm, only I relocated to my native Finland for work. And I already mentioned this to them, that they might get a pilgrim to host sometime in the future.

    Fantastic! I walked Via Gebennensis in July this year and I was surprised by the huge amount of butterflies and all kinds of insects. ENjoyed so much seeing them.

    July 23, Faramans on the route from Geneva to le Puy. I remember this morning so well, a thunderstorm was brewing but I still so enjoyed walking because for once there were no hills for a while.

    LIVE from the Camino Via Geneva and Le Puy en Velay

    I stopped in Le Puy and hope to continue next summer. However, I was told repeatedly that things will change after Le Puy. The amount of pilgrims and the infrasturcture increases after Le Puy. Looking forward to it!
