In a forum that celebrates a special place in the world, where everyone is equal and we all in the same effort to achieve the same destiny, for me, this is wrong.
A newbiehas every right to write as much as he want. And why should I opened a new topic if there is one, even if it is old, that...
First of all, nice description of what I´m planning to be my next Camino.
In Betanzos, where did you sleep? I saved the other acommodations that you refer on the other points but I think that you didnt mentioned where you stayed in Betanzos.
Thanks for all your help.
But there was a change of plans and I´ll be doing the Camino Inglês instead of the CPI. There is a friend of mine that asked me if I could change my plans so he can join us and we all agreed. Time was the main reason to change it, the Inglês can be made in 5 or 6 days...
My initial plan is to start in Chaves and do the CPI, via Allariz, as I said in my first post. The user @amancio spoke about the Laza alternative, doing the Sanabrés.
Although I was planning to go via Allariz I can think in others routes.
But can I get to Santiago in 7 days from Laza? Seems like to many kms to do in 7 days
For me, poncho all the way.
I made the mistake of not taking one in my last camino and, in a heavy rainy day before arriving Redondela, I was dry but the backpack, even with the rain protection, as wet.
So next time I´ll buy a poncho for sure.

I only have 9 days to do it, in June. What is, in your opinion, the best starting point for this amount of time? I was planning to start in Chaves but it seems that this will...

Oh, I mean new, not "nem", sorry.
These are the boots. It's from a Spanish brand highly recommended here in Portugal.
Today I started using my nem boots, that I received in the past Monday, a Bestard Trotter II. A 12 kms hike in road and forest tracks.
Even using hiking socks, by Lurbel, I had 2 not blisters, but beginning of blisters. That medium pain that you know if you walk 2 or 3 more kms will become a...
I will start in Valença because of the feeling of beginning in Portugal, just a simbolic thing. But I will not sleep in Valença, my first stop will be in Porriño.
In Redondela we choose an albergue named Conserveira...
Hum, that's true, the traditional Albergues interesse accept rreservation.
I call them Albergues because they call themselves that. For example, in Porrino I will stay in a place called "Albergue Camiño Português". Other one, in Caldas de Reis, is called "Albergue Agarimo". They are very...
Thank you all for the feedback.
One of the backpacks I saw and liked is the Lowa Alpine Airzone 35:45. Nice and comfortable, main part of the weight is all in the hips. Any of you already try one of these?
I took your advice, and the previous ones, and already booked all the accommodations...
