Oh lovely news, thank you bushels!!! The girl downstairs reassured me that I was leaving from Puerta de Atocha and seemed perplexed why I would question what was written on my ticket!
My initial question popping in on this thread was going to be ;).... is the train station close to...
I purchased the ticket online from the Renfe site and it says
Salida: MADRD - P.A
Llegada: LEÓN
I just find that the obvious is not necessarily obvious here.... like if what is printed on my ticket isn’t accurate and I’m supposed to be at Chamartin... that sort of thing.
Thanks,
Shari
This has me nervous now.... as my train ticket to Leon tomorrow, has a departure of Atocha on the ticket, which doesn’t align with what you’re saying. AND I’ve come to learn that things are not what they seem in Spain.... advice?

Hi Victoria.
I am one week in without cellphone (Pamplona - Burgos), traveling with my tablet which only has Wifi usage and I’ve been totally fine.
If it was your gut reaction to do it without.....then GO WITH THAT FEELING.
If you get in a jam, there are hundreds of pilgrims around you.... I’m...
YES!
What most of you *maybe* wouldn’t have guessed.... I don’t have a cellphone in general. Drives everyone around me crazy and I don’t care... it doesn’t align with my values.

So great to hear from you Elle.... I am getting so excited!! All these notes, tidbits and encouragement are really filling my basket.
Thank you! :)

Thank you for sharing your perspective on this, it is appreciated. I feel like I’m going to move on after my arrival, if all presents in a smooth manner. :)
Great advice... I shall see what I see.... my time of arrival into Pamplona might be the first deciding factor! Going to find a ticket tomorrow.... wish me luck!
Shari
YES!!!!
Thank you Rob.... you and Tincatinker have helped solidify my thoughts about gettin’ outta there as swiftly as possible. The early mornings and early arrivals in *whatever places* are what I’m aiming for. Great encouragement, thanks.
