I haven't been on the forum for a while but thought I would tell you that my partner brian(bribaby) who started this thread, passed away in February this year. I have now lost my 2 walking buddies and don't think I will walk the Camino again. I have done the Camino Frances twice and part of...
Hope to leave Madrid on Friday 16th. Will be walking slowly as I'm recovering after 6 months of chemo, but am so looking forward to walking. I walked the Frances from SJDP in 2010 and had to go back in 2111 as I felt it wasn't finished with me. I would love to walk every year but will see how...
We will be a couple of days ahead of you but traveling slowly so you will probably see us, and pass us. We are allowing 3 weeks to get to Leon. See you along the way.
I had to cancel doing the camino Portuguese last year as I was diagnosed with breast cancer. After surgery and chemotherapy I am ready to start again. I'm not as fit as I should be so may be only able to walk small distances but I'm mentally ready to walk again. My partner and I hope to start...
Hi, I walked the camino Frances in 2010 and 2011 and have been a member of this forum since 2010. I love getting my email everyday to read and hopefully will walk again in 2014. I have a couple of questions I would like to pose to members.

I stayed there in 2010. I really liked it. We had a communal dinner and sat around outside and talked until midnight. The garden may have been a bit overgrown but it had character.
I walked the Frances in 2010 and 2011. I had planned to walk the Portuguese this year in may but was diagnosed with breast cancer in February. Having chemo now but plan to walk again April or May next year. We need to fight and become survivors!!!
I don't know if I am posting this in the right area but hope the moderator will move if necessary. Our fellow pilgrim and dear friend, Peter Catlow, passed away last week. He has walked camino France's twice with us and has also walked via de la plata, parts of walks in France and was walking...
HI Julie, I'm also from Victoria and walked the Camino Frances in 2010 and part of it in 2011. It was the most fantastic time for me and I hope to walk the Camino Portugues in September this year. Just remember, take your time and enjoy every day. Don't rush and walk your own walk. I'm 60...
Hi Corina, I'm from Melbourne and I walked from St Jean to Santiago last year in May and June. I can honestly say it was the best time of my life. I'm walking again this year starting in Pamplona on May 18th and walking with 2 friends I met last year on the Camino. I had lots of doubts last...
Hi AussieJames,
I did my first camino this year in May and June and am planning on going again in May 2011. I live near Melbourne.
It was such a magical experience I can't wait to go again. Last time I walked the 800 kms but this next time only about 400kms as I can't get enough leave to...
