    Cancelling Camino - Soliciting Advice

Based on what others have said on this forum about beds there will be availability and that should not be your worry. I walked from Valenca to Tui 2 years ago doing about 15-18km a day. It was a lovely route. Took about 6 days. You could start earlier as Trecile said or carry on after Santiago...

    Taxis to Tui

I can’t help re the taxi as I walked it. It was not at all far and an easy and lovely walk. Had a stroll around Valenca and then across the bridge and into Tui.

LIVE from the Camino Ponferrada to Santiago de Compostela - 205km on the CF

I’m walking from Samos in May. I’m also staying at a hotel near the bus stop and yes it does feel odd flying into Santiago and that is why I’m not venturing into the city. I’m bussing out to Samos. Your posts have made me even more excited. Have a great Camino.

Thanks for this. I will be doing this distance when I walk in May and have been a bit nervous about it. Your post has helped me enormously. I will make sure I take plenty of breaks and was planning on a long stop in Melide.

    Electrolytes

I sometimes need electrolytes, first realising on a hot walking trip in Cambodia. Cramps in my legs can be really bad. I carry Diarolyte for possible stomach upsets and find those work fine. I try and make sure I’m getting salt and sugar alongside all that water or I have a problem!

    Locals Only

My limited experience Valenca to SDC in 2022 was of very warm and helpful people. Men on the dustcarts getting off to show the right way out of the town at daybreak, a women getting out her car to point to the correct path to stay on the Camino and lots of Buen Camino.
