So sorry about your friends accident. However, it was so wonderful to hear of how the Spanish people rallied around and helped your friend. It unfortunately doesn't surprise me the treatment you received back home. Sad to say. I've walked 5 caminos and each time I receive the kindest and most...
This is late in getting back to you - sorry - but wanted to share my story. I walk alone and will walk my 5th camino this April. I'm walking this time in memory of my husband who recently died. He was a special man. About your pack - I usually walk with a pack, but have on one camino used a...
I brought my She-Wee the first camino and never used it. Left it home on the next two. Leave it home. Everyone is considerate and gives you privacy when possible. Besides that, there are many towns that you can use the bano
Buen Camino
I live in Kingwood so I’m close. Last year I walked almost every day to help prepare me for the CF. I went to the gym and got on the treadmill and racked it up to help build strength for the climbs I never were coming. I’m not young but pretty decent shape since I bike like crazy. Anyway I did...
I think wearing bright colors or doing the stick idea would help. Again today while walking towards Arcos N206 nasty business. However I will say drivers tried hard to give me space. It’s a gorgeous walk though even with tight roads. I’m thoroughly enjoying myself.
Well I’m on the Camino Portugués central route. Just started out of Porto and wanted to share an experience for those who plan on walking this route
Drivers are a little crazy past vila do Pinheiro. I know, I know, I’ve read how tight the road can be but this was really scary today. What...
I fly tomorrow to walk the central Camino Portugues starting 2 May. This will be my third camino and, like others, can hardly wait to start.
Am I ready - I don't think so. But you know what --- it always works out, doesn't it? Hope to meet others on the way - have forum patch on...
I walked it in October - My advice is to be prepared with water and food. Unlike the CF, it's sparse when it comes to cafes and watering holes. I was surprised too that there were so many hills. I shouldn't have been, but was....have a great time - really pretty scenery on the ocean.
Hello fellow Houstonian, I walked the CF same time you are starting out last year.
Really wet - 8 days straight, but it was wonderful just the same.
I'm headed to the CP - central route 29 April. Buen Camino to You!
