    First day

Is Orrison and/or Roncesvalles the only two options on day one , going the Napoleon route, for a place to stay?

    Socks and Crocks

No I am not asking the perceived question, " is acceptable to wear socks with sandals or crocs". Coming from a country with four distinct seasons I find myself (in summer) wearing sockless crocs the majority of the time. Not the traditional crocs, but the 'santa cruz" type which resembles a...

    Deciding when to go

Is the reason for buying one size larger footwear, because of wearing thicker or double socks, or because of foot swelling? Too big a shoe, to me, means friction thus blisters.

most unfortunate, stolen I phones and tablets

Do the Albergues that do have lockers also have locks or do you bring your own. Is there enough of them that have lockers to make it worthwhile to bring a lock.

    The finish line

As I peruse the forums I find so many who cherish their camino experience but find Santiago as somewhat of a letdown or anticlimactic. I am wondering if it is because these same people are doing the way for reasons other than religious. That is not the point I am trying to make but rather a...
