Hi friends, So, out of nowhere really, I've got a dose of plantar fasciitis (mild, but still). This has never happened to me before.
And, i start a Camino in 7 weeks time. Not feeling joyous, let me tell you. But been to the physio who has taped me, given me a set of stretches to do etc and...
Hi,
Came across this yesterday - might be interesting for those who have walked Shikoku or who dream of a big (big!) challenge. Not quite operational yet. The Japanese will do it well as with everything when ready:

I recently went from 105kg to 92kg in 6 weeks on Camino Madrid then Frances - I seem to drop weight fast when away walking - I’m not so interested in the bar meals ( insane calories actually) and am more interested in the physical challenge. Checked my blood pressure when arrived back home last...

Thanks again. No not starting to start of September. I just like to plan ahead!
How wonderful. I wish you a fantastic Camino. It’s a wonderful route . Please send a direct message if needed I’m happy to answer any questions. Go well .

Yep - key at the bar. The lady there is really lovely. Please make sure you have enough food I can’t recall any supermarkets for about a week from there.
How wonderful for you! I started from Madrid on 1 June and had a superb time. I loved the albergues in Alcazaren, Villeguillo and Penaflor- such great stops. Some of the farm stretches did go on a bit ! It’s such a great option for those that don’t want a party Camino and prefer quiet walking...

Thank you so much in advance.
Hi Allison. I finished this Camino a few weeks back. Mainly pensions until Segovia then there are albergues. Given it’s so quiet I sometimes called the night before to advise ( and double check the hospitalero/a was around). Carry some food. Often the only fruiteria or tienda was closed. Carry...
