    Starting mozarabe Monday 23 april

I'm starting from Almeria tommow. I've read different things about where to pick up a credencial, including the Albergue in Rioja. Can anybody help please?

LIVE from the Camino No mob—just me — on the Mozárabe

Hi, I'm starting from Almeria tommow. Can you get a credencial from the Cathedral?

    ?Starting Sureste in early March

Hi Maxi, I've had to change my plan. I am in Almería and probably going to walk the Mozarabe as it starts from here. It joins the Via de Plata so unlikely we'll meet up unless one or both of us get very lost. Have a good camino. Good luck. Steve

I had a look at the Benidorm and villojoyosa start. They look good as take in a lot of the hills in Costa Bksnca. Ive walked there before and it really is stunning. Will depend BV on weather though

Yes it works well. I tried using a tarp one year but was too much faffing around setting it up. I just kept my sleeping bag inside the bivi and I could throw it down anywhere and crawl into it.

Hi Maxi. Im taking taking very basic camping gear ie; a bivi bag. Think there will be no problems finding places to camp.

I'm also in Alicante for the weekend and planning on setting off on Monday. I had heard of a start in Benidorm which then goes through the hills. Joining the Sureste after a day or two. Have you heard anything about that route?

Weather conditions in northern Spain in June

Hi Bella I was wondering the same thing as I am also starting from Irun in June. As you have walked to Santiago before you might think the same as me in that it's better having too little gear than too much. You can always pick up more stuff on the way if you are cold / wet. Buen Camino

starting from Lisbon is September 6th

That's reassuring. Its the same in the UK. Some of the local accents are very different from standard English. They had to put subtitles for a scottish comedy television show when it was shown in England!

I was in madeira earlier in the year and found Portugese easy to understand when it was written but, with many words completely different from Spanish, I kinda lost my way and ended up talking (mostly) nonsense. Gestures and hand signals will get me by hopefully :-)
