Thanks for the insightful comment. Fortunately, my wife and I are not in any rush and can wait for "the Camino to provide" the right place and location, which, as you indicate, is very important. No sense opening a place that is not a natural "break" point on the journey. Having said that, I...
Thank you, I had read about this but was hesitant about approaching but it is a delightful place and would love to keep the spirit of it alive. Thanks for including the contact info.
After numerous Caminos, my wife and I are looking to purchase a house (or possibly an already established albergue) along the Camino Portuguese within Portugal to establish a small private refugio for pilgrims. Ideally between Lisbon & Porto but also open to possibilities north of Porto...
Sadly, it didn't occur in the way I wanted, but my wife and I walked the whole Camino and she got hooked. We are eyeing opening a private albergue on the Camino Portugueses

I'm setting out from SJPdP on April 13. Any indication of what the snowfall has been like or will be? I left April 3rd in 2015 and had to take the Valcarlos route (which was still wonderful) but hope to be able to do the Napoleon route this time. I thought we might be starting to see what...
Hi all,
I use a 38L Kestral from Osprey for my camino but my wife is thinking of getting the Kyte series which is designed for ladies but comes only in the 36 or 46L size. I think 46 is to much and think she should perhaps get the 38L Kestral like mine. Any ladies have suggestions or...
I as just preparing to book with Istvan and Barbara in April for my second camino because they made our first camino SO SPECIAL! When I saw this message I was so disappointed and yet I wish them only the very best for their family and the next season in their life!
