Pamplona to Burgos in late September 2024 - albuerges and weather?

My second Camino (2017 I think) was in September and I had very nice weather pretty much the entire time. I had a liner then and I always only bring a liner - end March early April too. Some recommendations between your start and end point include: Estella - Albergue Agora, Los Arcos - Casa de...

    want solitude

I have walked a few and in solitude. You will have no problems satisfying your goals. Simply be kind and respectful as you come across others. Worked for me. Enjoy.

Camino Francés favorites not in albergues?

My wife and I like to treat ourselves once we arrive in Villafranca del Bierzo. We stay at La Puerta del Perdon. Only 5 rooms of so but what a delight and reasonably priced. They also have a restaurant on the first floor but we have never ate there.

Searching for an albergue or hostal to run

I there are two that I know of: Albergue el Pajar de Ages (in Ages before Burgos) and Albergue San Miguel in Hospital de Orbigo. As far as I know, they are for sale - but an inquiry may find that the owners may be willing to rent.

    Socks

Here is another vote for Wrightsocks - double layered. They have been my go-to! Never had a blister.

    Madrid accommodation

The Hat is great - right around the corner from Plaza Mayor. Very close to The Hat (one minute walk) is the Hostel La Macarena which is a little more expensive. I've stayed at both.

    Dragonte Route

The Pradela route is wonderful!! And as others have stated, you come out right at Trabadelo. When you arrive in the little village of Pradela, definitely stop at Albergue Lamas for a refreshment/sandwich. They are wonderful people who own it. They make some trinkets and purchasing something...

I stay at Hostal San Nicolas in Molinaseca all the time - I just checked and they are open for business. A really nice couple own this place and its super.

This is absolutely great news! It solves my problem for the Camino I am currently planning. Thanks!

    Accommodation in Sarria

I have stayed at several places including Albergue Don Alvaro. However, one time when I was feeling a bit sore, I checked into their pension with private rooms. It was very clean, quiet, comfortable and across the street from the albergue. Reasonably priced as well if memory serves.

    OK guys, what underwear?

I go with "body glide." I'll assume that this product goes by many names depending on where you are from. But it is applied to areas that often chafe and it comes in a container much like an underarm deodorant. It works very well.

    OK guys, what underwear?

Runderwear boxers are the best for me.

    Ages - Albergue el Pajar

I received a message from the owner of Albergue el Pajar in Ages today. He is retiring and looking to sell his place. As a result, he will not be open. If the albergue does open, it will be with new owners. It is a shame - I liked that place.

Competition for the best hamburger in Spain

My vote for best hamburger would be La Rustica Caravan Bar in Ages - in between San Juan de Ortega and Burgos.
