Death of American pilgrim in Castromaior today

So sorry for your loss. May your husband rest in peace and you find the support you need.

    Did it make a difference

Haha,, two weeks, nothing. You'll be talking, thinking about it forever and, if you're like many of us on the forum, return visits become a real longing. Enjoy.

    Last min questions

Alert WARNING ⚠️ | Indecent exposure between Padron - Santiago

It is such a pity that a few pathetic individuals can put such a damper on our Caminos. Well done @Elis12 for reporting. I hope the remainder of your çamino will be problem free and bring you comfort. You have my respect for being courageous at a time when you were in a vulnerable state. 🙏🙏

    Processionary caterpillars are DANGEROUS!!!

There were many on the Mozarabe a couple of weeks ago but not so prolific to be in their lines. Definitely increasing in number after very cold days. What was strange was that they seemed to have a route implanted in themselves. I rescued three from a big puddle (there were many drowned) but...

    Reflective SOL Poncho

🤣🤣My Decathlon one is orange, longer, but not shiny so I'm used to looking like a giant orange jelly.

    Reflective SOL Poncho

If it does what it says, it would be brilliant. My decathlon poncho is the heaviest item in my backpack.

    Folding up an Altus?

I was very glad of mine a couple of weeks ago. I tried to stick some self adhesive reflective tape to it (in the shape of a scallop shell) for safety, but that did not survive being stuffed back in its pocket. Does anyone know if there is a reflective fabric paint that will not affect the...

    Folding up an Altus?

The one from Decathlon stuffs into its own pocket, so you don't need anything extra 😉

Alert Solo Women Beware! Men threatening women just north of Albergaria-a-Velha in the woods (Parque do Monte da Nossa Sra do Socorro)

@Lunabridges . So sorry you that you were threatened in such a way and bravo for sticking it out and waiting for the police whilst in another threatening situation. You did the right thing despite, no doubt, being frightened. From another so woman, thank you and I hope that your onward journey...

Boots off, feet up! We have completed the Mozarabe!

From my understanding, you get a free e-book if you buy the hard copy (though I could be wrong).

Two pilgrims trapped in tree by a cow

I remember meeting cows being chivvied along by a working dog whilst the farmer was in his truck at the far end of a field. The cows were sharing the path, coming down, as I was on my way up to O' Cebriero.
