Everyday I endeavour to live the lessons of being a pilgrim in life. My favourite thing to do is tell stories about the Camino as a keynote speaker. I love walking/running barefoot in the forest. For 12 years I've been writing and telling stories of the Camino and the journey back home. I've written 2 books, My Camino and Confessions of a Pilgrim and I'm working on a third. I produced a Camino documentary film called Las Peregrinas and raised $16,000 for various charities around the world on the opening weekend. Even crazier, I wrote and performed a one woman show called My Camino: a walking journey where I started off on a treadmill walking with my backpack on. It was seen at the San Francisco Fringe and in London, Ontario Fringe Festivals too. As a life coach I use the Camino as a metaphor for living a life with purpose. Recently I invented and designed a new idea for barefoot shoes called Barebottoms. I'm hoping to inspire some pilgrims to try them out and avoid getting blisters! Each May I take a group on the Camino. I schedule 6 conference calls to review what to pack, how to prepare with a walking program and I encourage people to focus on the spiritual journey. We carry our packs and walk 225kms in 11 days. It's life work that I am honoured to fulfill. I love the Camino and all that it is about.
