    Small hip/shoulder pack

My daughter and I both used one of these on our Camino. They work perfectly. We liked being able to unsnap them from our pack and carry just the chestpack around during day stops, lunch, etc. And handy for walk into town for dinner. Durable and waterproof to boot.

    Wearing glasses when it rains

There are any number of anti-fogging products that stop glasses, dive mask, swim or ski goggles from fogging up and promote sheeting raindrop from glasses. See here: https://www.amazon.com/Best-Sellers-Diving-Mask-Defoggers/zgbs/sporting-goods/13277741?tag=casaivar02-20 I've used Spit to good...

    Seized pack zips

Just don't try to use the graphite with anything else like oil or wax. (You might be able to use PTFE sprays (WD40, et al) that will dry and leave a film of dry PTFE, and not impair the "lubricant" properties of graphite, but not sure.)

    Seized pack zips

"vinegar may be a solution." Indeed. Not a gas or solid. :)

Sleeping bag or thermolite liner±silk liner ?

An Enlightened Equipment Revelation 850 fill down quilt in Regular length/Regular width is around 15 oz/448gms. https://enlightenedequipment.com/down-quilts/ There are plenty of other good quilt manufacturers as well. The EE is just one example. A quilt may be the "sweet spot" for you.

    Sleeping Bag or Sleep Sack?

A lightweight quilt is a third option to the sleeping bag or liner question, or combination of both, that has been popular among through hikers over the past few years. There are several outdoor gear design & manufacturing companies whose products keep being positively mentioned by thru hikers...

A Few Hours in Madrid ...

I would second the recommendation for Botin. It is terrific. Get the roast suckling pig as an entree! And buy a song from the band! Check out the menu: https://botin.es/en/menu-botin-en/

Water Discussion (I thought you might like a laugh)

Take the water bottle that's easiest for you to use. I used a retail water bottle with a separate soft plastic drinking tube with a bite valve that I could secure to one shoulder strap. Always handy and easy to unscrew the top and fill the bottle when needed. BTW, I'm curious about the color...

    Should I pack backup eyeglasses?

Good point. But the OP already has a spare pair, which, on previous Caminos, she has brought with her. She is not facing the sort of expense you describe, which I agree, would be daunting. She just is looking for opinions about whether she should leave her already existing, and somewhat...

    Should I pack backup eyeglasses?

Bring the backup pair. They don't take much room, are light weight, and will, if needed, save maybe days of headache waiting for a new pair to be made or causing you real pain from eye-strain headache and prevent you from seeing beautiful vistas daily. An ounce of prevention for a pound of...

Black stuff on my Z-poles again

That'd be my guess. just don't wipe it off or you might not be able to fit the sections back together until you apply more graphite.

Join the quest for the perfect panel loading camino pack?

This may help. I think it depends on where your packs shoulder straps attach/how your pack is constructed. See here: https://besthiking.net/how-to-fit-backpack/ Manufacturers specs should give that number. Gregory says the Juno 36 is a single size torso that fits torsos: "14" - 19" / 35.6 -...

Join the quest for the perfect panel loading camino pack?

You'll have to convert inches to cms but here are the torso length figures for their packs. Click on "size chart", then scroll to the model you're interested in. 50 cm is roughly 19 11/16 ", call it 20 " The Juno is a single size and according to the specs from Gregory accommodates a max of...

    Your favorite camino hat!

I like an Outdoor Research hat that is a cross between its Seattle Sombrero and its Sunbriolet called the Sunshower Sombrero. It's a wide-brimmed sun hat with mesh sides for lots of airflow and under the brim is a small pouch with an elastic closure that carriers a gore-tex type rain cover. It...

    Waist Packs!

I have one for my pack. Clipped to the shoulder straps, it rode about mid-chest, just below my sternum, and no bounce. Liked that I could unclip it and use it around town or just pitch it in a S2S sil-nylon backpack, same idea as your describe. Glad you're back from your illness. Stay well.
