    Chemin d’Arles

I’m planning to walk from Arles in May/June. Could anyone tell me if there is a list of gîtes d’étape on this site? I use gronze mostly and have a copy of miam miam dodo but would love personnel recommandations. Thanks!

Easy stopping points 7-10 days from Le Puy?

In April I walked with a friend who could only be away for a week, when we got to Saint Côme d’Olt late morning she took a taxi (arranged the evening before) to Rodez, and from there she took a train to Toulouse (she was flying home from there the next day). Low-stress as she spoke little French.

    Chemin Saint-Guilhem or Stevenson?

I’ve enjoyed reading these messages. We’ve been planning to walk le Chemin d’Arles in spring but now I’m thinking more about walking the Chemin de Stevenson. Could someone please direct me to a listing of gîtes d’étapes/auberges along the route? I’ve depended mostly on gronze for past caminos...

Le Puy-en-Velay to St. Privat d’Allier in one day?

I’ve walked le Chemin du Puy twice but not the Francés. The first time we stopped in Montbonnet, as my husband wasn’t sure how he’d do with longer stages. In April I walked with a friend and spent the first night in Saint-Privet. It was extremely windy but I didn’t find it particularly...

Walking for a week from Le Puy...how to get to an airport from there

In April I started from Le Puy with a friend who only had ten days free to walk. When we arrived in Saint-Côme-d’Olt around noon she took a taxi (arranged the day before) to Rodez and from there a train to Toulouse, flying home from there the next day.

Le Puy en Velay in 2 weeks.....Exactly!

Trips back to Puy from where? I know there’s a bus taking people from Conques back, but not sure about from other towns. La Malle Postale is very reliable for backpack transport. It ens in Moissac or somewhere near there, and Transport Claudine takes over to SJPP.

Average daily expenses on the Le Puy

I’m walking le Chemin du Puy currently and spending as average of€40 a night demi-pension. As that includes breakfast and dinner, all I need to pay for otherwise is something for lunch, usually a piece of fruit and a morsel of cheese, I eat a lot at breakfast and dinner. And often stop for a...

Who knows, we may meet up somewhere on the trail.

Le Puy en Velay in 2 weeks.....Exactly!

I do hope you have good weather. I leave home four weeks from Tuesday and will begin walking from Le Puy 21 April, and know that I may encounter snow. We walked the trail before in September-October and heat was a bit of an issue, not too much but I prefer walking in cooler weather. Bon courage...

Going guideless on the Le Puy?

I walked my first Camino in France, le Chemin du Puy. I really knew nothing about it and had only booked for Le Puy. Our hostess there told me that I should call the gîte a day ahead to reserve, so I always did. I had no guidebook but had found out about gronze and that was all I needed. I did...

Transportation PARIS to Le Puy en Velay

I’m so glad that I read this, I was planning to go into Paris and take a train from either Gare de Lyon or Bercy but leaving from CDG would certainly be easier. My flight arrives on April 19 at 5:15am so I will have plenty of time but still…
