Why not start on the Via de La Plata at Zafra, it is approximately 6 or 7 days after Seville, the "families" will have formed by then, and it is about 850 Km. from Santiago. Zafra is a beautiful historic town and worth the visit. Walk to Granja...
Ship your pack, start at sunrise, take lots of pictures, stroll to your destination, and if you have to, take a cab the last bit. Just do it, you will love it!
