    Where have you been 50 years ago?

    Within a week of that time, I was at Cape Canaveral, age 12, watching Apollo 11 lift off. Amazing experience - it actually took some time, not like the shuttles taking off.

    UPDATE: Well...the tour bus was late....and it was pouring rain when we first got there...and yes, the Church was undergoing renovations, but we got into the church, and hugged the saint behind the altar, and the rain stopped, so we had time to just stand in the the square and watch Camino...

    Had this happen with a favorite tennis shoe - by the time it wore out, could no longer get one like it. A small sliver of hope, however....sometimes you can find an old favorite item on eBay!

My wife and I wanted to walk the CF last year, even bought our walking poles, hiking shoes, and packs by reading suggestions in this forum. While a couple surgeries got in the way, i’ve really enjoyed reading the forum...
