    Crossing Pyrenees by wheelchair

Thanks. This information about the roads is exactly what I need to know. Specialy knowing about shoulders is very important. My wheelchair looks a bit like a bike (I use a connected steering attachement) and that is one of the reasons why I decided to drive on the right side of the road but I...

    Crossing Pyrenees by wheelchair

Dank je! This is great information. I will take "langs oude wegen". I consider the Somportpass too. 12% I did before and is doable (I even did 25, that is not nice and I had to do it backwards, but I managed).

    Crossing Pyrenees by wheelchair

Thanks, this YouTube film give a good view. I think that this road is doable (it look beter than some roads I took in the massive central (1400m high). I just have to take care that I wear high visible clothing (I always have that with me).

    Crossing Pyrenees by wheelchair

Thanks, I do it on my own. Just me, my wheelchair and last but not least, with God. and on the way I prefer to camp in my little tent of at peoples homes. I can walk a few meter (even stairs when I really have to) and that helps a lot. Amazing you still find ways to go walking with a walker And...

    The Netherlands- Santiago April 2024

Buen camino!

    But what about the handicapped?

It is doable in a wheelchair. I do it every year. It takes a little more preparation and sometimes it is a big search to find out how to make things posible, which wheelchair is the best, where to sleep, etc. But it is worth to try and go for it. On my website I write about how I do it...

    Le puy or Vezelay

It is also posible to visit Vezelay and Le-Puy-en-Velay on the way, I did it thar on my pilgrimage by wheelchair. I started in the Netherlands but I changed my route a few times because I wanted to visit different pilgrimage places. After Vezelay I decided to go to Paray-le-Monial, Taizé and...

I do the pilgrimage by wheelchair (but I can walk a few meter) 2016 I started in the Netherlands and every year I do a part of the road. Last year I finished in Rocamadour (South of France) and there I will start next year again. I have a small tent with me because that helps with finding a...

Solo walkers - what kinds of food do you buy at grocery stores?

I did not do a pilgrimage in Spain yet (I started my ♿️ wheelchair pilgrimage in the netherlands 🇳🇱 and do every year a part of the route. "Now" I am in the south of France, Rocamadour) but in France I normally eat very simple food. Not just because i travel on a very low budget but also...
