    Belorado

I hope you have a wonderful Camino. It was a great trip for us. The year we went there was an extreme amount of rain and it was cold. But it was an aberration. I don't think they had ever seen so much rain! We became very familiar with the orange-ish mud and to dry out boots and clothes -...

Danger for pilgrims walking between Roncesvalles & Zubiri

Just logged in for the first time in a long time and saw your post. I was your fellow “swimmer” that day-we met and were able to give each other a hug at the wine fountain wall. The experience has become part of my camino story! The Way is certainly I place for making memories.

    Need a new waist pack

I think there's a bigger lesson -- bring all of yourself that is broken to the camino and it can be fixed! I ended up getting the Osprey and attached with S clip. Worked great.

We are taking the bus tour tomorrow! Sitting here with a couple of other pilgrims discussing the zero km marker. Where is 0 km? All of our markers along the Camino Frances were measuring to Santiago cathedral, right?

Is the Botafumeiro closed for repairs in 2018?

Arrived in Santiago yesterday and went to the Pilgrim mass at noon today, Sunday, May 13th. The Botafumeiro swung, the choir sang, and tears ran down my face. It seems the Borafumeiro has swung for at least the last 10 days—perhaps in conjunction with the ascension festivities.

    Broken Toe

I’m on the Camino right now and can say walking with pain is interesting. I’ve learned my Achilles’ tendons are a weak point—who knew?! Each step becomes a conscious thought. The worry is you don’t want to do any permanent damage and I think pain causes fatigue. Looks like you’re doing the right...
