First time / Del Norte August 11 / Simple question
No requirements. We walked over, had some lunch, and walked back. They had police on the bridge, but they were mainly waving automobiles through.- Xylango

Credencial in Irun
We went to the police station inside city hall. Free, got our first sello, and the officer couldn't have been nicer. Every single cathedral, late morning and all afternoon, was closed when we got to Irun on July 2nd. So, got our credenciales, walked across the bridge to France, had some wine...- Xylango

Norte or Frances in September? (For a woman, given fewer pilgrims in 2021)
I'm (female) currently on the Norte. Walking with my partner (male). Saw one other male pilgrim yesterday en route to Markina-Xemein. I feel safe. Lots of local day hikers around, not too many pilgrims.- Xylango

First time / Del Norte August 11 / Simple question
Got our first sello from the police station (in the Ayuntamiento) in Irun on July 3rd. We were able to walk across the bridge to Hendaye, France for a glass of wine, then walk back. The Norte has been beautiful! Be sure to fill up your water supply every chance you get. Buen Camino!- Xylango

Hi all. My partner and I are leaving for Spain this Sunday (June 27, 2021). Will spend a few days in Madrid, train up to Bilbao, and hike the Norte every weekend. Rented an apartment in Bilbao for a couple of months, so we plan on taking transportation to Irun, walking for 3-4 days every...- Xylango
