Oh what to do with 2 spare days?!

I'll be walking from Ponferrada to SdC in late April/early May and if all goes to plan (fingers crossed!) I'll be left with pretty much 2 days spare at the end. Would arrive in SdC after walking on a Thursday and will be flying home on the Sunday afternoon. What are your thoughts about what is realistically possible/achievable/recommended to do with these 2 days that I have spare? I was contemplating a bus trip to either Muxia or Finisterre if it's possible (?)

What would you suggest?

Bus trip is possible. Also relaxing with tapas and good wine & sleep in Santiago. Both options are appealing. I think I personally would relax in Santiago and enjoy the city, not stressing.

There is enough to see and do in Santiago to keep a person busy for 2 days.
I agree with Alex, relax and enjoy NOT having to get up and walk

"... if all goes to plan ..." - exactly, BUT why not just take it as it comes and spread those two days on the route? I don't wish you any problem, but you never know... That's why I would recommend to just go and take it as it comes. Sometimes it's very nice to have the exact plan and also know that there are days in reserve until return flight

Muxia over night trip. You can spend hours on the rocks at the point of the town meditating on your Camino, and enjoying the freshest sea food you will ever taste. Try the percebes.

Santiago has many interesting sites to visit. "El Santiago oculto de los Peregrinos" in English can be obtained at the tourist office. A walk along the Rio Sarela (mills) is relaxing. A more vigourous walk up the mountain to the radio masts allows spectacular views over the town and region. Two days filled

Hy Sarah , stay in SdC there is a lot to do . O r you can take the bus for a day trip to Finesterre. Enjoy your stay , Peter .
