Does JacoTrans (or similar) exist on the Santiago-Finisterre-Muxia route?

My question is basically the title... Does JacoTrans (or similar service) exist on the Santiago-Finisterre-Muxia route?

We are debating if it would be worthwhile to bring smaller day packs, since we will be hiking 20+ miles per day. If something like JacoTrans is available to take our large packs ahead, that's great... but if it doesn't exist along that route, then our "extra" packs would just be added weight.

One of the major transporters of baggage along the camino is Jacotrans. Somewhere I read that they now also transport to Finisterre. Perhaps you might write and ask them if they do and, if not, who does. Here is their email jacotrans@jacotrans.com. Another service Tuitrans advertises transport of backpacks to Finisterre and Muxia.

Even if you don't use a luggage service a day pack can be useful at night so you can keep valuables on you, shop, etc. and leave your main pack at your albergue. The Sea to Summit Ultra-sil daypack holds 20 liters but only weighs 2.4 oz and stuffs into itself to size of a lemon.

I used them when I hurt my foot and I couldn't walk with my pack, they are awesome!

Here is the link and they do from Finisterre to Muxia as well.. their hotel listings too. You have to tell them where to pick it up and put the money in a envelope. I paid it in lump sum so I didn't have to find an envelope everyday.

Just FYI... I thought I'd post a response to my own (old) question. We stayed at Casa Loncho ( www.casaloncho.com, casaloncho@gmail.com) in Olveiroa. Antonio, who runs Casa Loncho, does the backpack service all along the route. We used his transport service all along the "triangle" to Fisterre, Muxia, and back. Casa Loncho is a family owned and operated business, and a wonderful group of people to meet. The accommodations are very clean and comfortable, and the food is great. We actually re-planned our route so that we could stay there a second time on the way back. Show him this photo and tell him that we sent you! LOL

Posting because people still search the forums on these questions. In October 2014 I also used the casaloncho service (though I didn't stay with them) a few days along the Santiago -> Finisterre route and it worked perfectly.

Be advised that Finisterre is listed in our website as "Fisterra", which is the town's Galician name. You'll probably see the town listed that way in other places too.
