Hi. I'm planning on walking from porto in a couple of weeks and am wondering if credentials are easily available at the cathedrals in Lisboa or Oporto or if I need to get them from my hone country before traveling.
Many thanks,
Melanie

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
Hola - Credenciales are usually available at the cathedral in Oporto.

However you may prefer to order in advance from the Forum Shop or from the pilgrim association in your country.

You should be able to get a credencial at the cathedral in Porto. Look for a table on the right side just as you enter the cathedral. It might cost you a euro or two.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
I brought back a couple of credenciales from Oporto cathedral this spring - just in case I will need them ;-) Buen Camino, SY

Olá.
credentials are available at the catheral in Oporto from 9 am to 6.30 pm during summer. In October and later in the year the cathedral shop is closed for lunch (hora do almoço) from 12:30 to 14:30. The price of the credential is 1.50 €.

By the way, in São Pedro de Rates and Ponte de Lima albergues you can also buy credentials. In case you start there or lose yours along the way.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
