I used Google Translate on my phone (available on iPhone & Android) and it was great. It will capture text to translate with the camera, by voice, or keypad (and it works without a data / wifi connection if you download relevant languages in advance).

I don't have firsthand experience with it, however, you might check if your Kindle is compatible with (free, highly rated, but content except for saved favorites is only available when you have WiFi): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006HJKKCG/?tag=casaivar02-20

Note: If you are really adventurous, and want to try to 'sideload' Google Translate on your Kindle, look at the replies to the question "Can iTranslate be used offline?" near the bottom of the page from the link above.

¡Buen Camino!

You might be interested in the phrase book written by a forum member. I haven't seen it myself, but it is described in this post.

I have the book C clearly links to, Camino Lingo. That's exactly what it is-- words, phrases, sentences you need on the Camino. Highly recommended.

Are you referring to "Camino Lingo?" by any chance?? I have this book (written/edited by our dear Camino friend SYates), yes its not a full phrase book but it does explain / translate a lot of the words and phrases a non-Spanish speaking pilgrim will encounter. Fully recommend it. Cheers

(Oops did not see the post/reply by Bala. sorry)
