Connection to Sarria the same day?

Time of past OR future Camino
Want to go for 1 week in May/Juni 2019 with 2 girlfriends.
Hi
I'm about to book my flight ticket, but I can't find a connection to Sarria the same day as I arrive by air :-/
The time schedule for busses and trains are not available yet, but looking at a similar day in near future, I can see, that there are no connections in the late afternoon/evening.

I'll arrive on a Friday, May 25th at Madrid Airport at 3.10 PM or I can arrive in Santiago Airport at 8.40 PM.

I'll then need some time to get to the busstation.
I would like to start walking from Sarria the next day...
But will I be able to get to Sarria that Friday??

Are there any other option/place to fly to?
I'd prefer train e.g. from Madrid-Sarria.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
Pretty much impossible unless you take a taxi from Santiago Airport to Sarria

From SCG would need to take bus via Lugo or train via Ourense and at least 3 hours (and last bus to Lugo leaves at 8pm)

From MAD bus via Lugo would be at least 8 hours

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

€60,-
Those arrival times are indeed complicated. Madrid to Sarria would be a painful 8h-9h bus trip at least.
Better to land in Santiago (Lavacolla airport) and take the bus at the Airport door that goes to Lugo-Sarria. http://www.empresafreire.com/html/ingles/seccion3a.php

Maybe you could land in Lavacolla and stay in some accomodation just outside of the airport (Hotel Last 12k seems nice) and take the first bus to sarria next morning, already rested? It would not 'spoil the end' because the airport is out of Santiago and you would see nothing of the city :)

Have you considered the overnight Trenhotel with a sleeper berth? Too early to know the May timetables yet but it will probably be much the same. At the moment it leaves Madrid at 22:14 and arrives in Sarria at 06:42. That would give you an evening in Madrid.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

Ohh, that would be nice, I guess :)
Thanks.

Another suggestion: fly to A Coruna and take a train to Sarria. A Coruna is a small airport and buses into the city are quick and cheap. Kayak.com shows a option for Hamburg - Barcelona - A Coruna on May 25th. Too early for the summer timetable but plenty of train options at the moment and unlikely to change much.

I’ve got a similar question seeking advice. I’ll be landing in Madrid on 16 May around 8a. Is it totally crazy to think there would be enough time to get to Sarria and walk to Vilei or Barbadelo?

Thanks in advance!
