Time of past OR future Camino
Frances 2019
A photographer Javier Iglesias Ramos in collaboration with Marei Kane and Ramón Yoshimura has published his photo collection of pilgrims on the Camino Frances.

His aim was to photograph pilgrims at the early stages of the Camino and then again when they arrived in Santiago de Compostela. The project started at the end of August 2019 and ended around the end of September 2019.

The website shows two photos for each pilgrim, one is the “starting” photo taken near Roncesvalles and the second was taken in Santiago.

Below each pair of photos there may also be some text provided by each pilgrim, commenting on the camino, what they learned, how they felt or something else. Each pilgrim consented to their photo and comments being published. I thought many of the forum members would appreciate the photos and comments, and also study what I believe is a wonderful change in the facial appearance of many pilgrims. Most look younger or more relaxed at the end!

I was included as I met Javier at a small pension in Bizkarreta on the 29th August and he invited me to join the project.
