    Walk or bus to Matosinhos

    Last year our flight arrived at Porto at midday. We took the metro to Porto. At the cathedral we had our credencials stamped and then walked 12km following the river and sea front to Matosinhos to our first night stop. Fabulous fish restaurants there. Next day we walked on to Parvoa.

    We (Baztan 4) stayed with Veronique in 2018. Interesting experience. We booked ahead and were told there were 4 beds waiting for us. On arrival another pilgrim had arrived before us, the 4 beds had to be stretched to 5, my niece drew the short straw and slept on a mattress on the crowded floor...
