Best place to stay in Santiago De Compostela

the first night we stayed at an excellent hotel called the Compostela Hotel (https://goo.gl/maps/qwwSrRnHAZZbK8Z29). unfortunately for us they only had the 1 night and not the others. we had to switch to the Hotel Praza Quintana (https://goo.gl/maps/2jU9BaFouSvt2vep8) for the other 2 nights, but...

My ethical dilemma regarding a compostela

I didn't read all the responses so this may have been touched upon. The compostela is simply a certificate of completion of your journey. They do sell another certificate for 3 Euros for a distance certification. I wouldn't worry or have too much of a dilemma if you're worried about your Camino...

Can anyone recommend some picture heavy resources of the Camino?

My wife and I have roughly 500+ photos along the way. Although we did a couple of skips by bus or taxi for some rest days we pretty much have the whole thing documented in photos. I can send 'em to you or add you to my Google Photos album. The whole album also includes photos from Ireland and...

    Luxury items

The only "Luxury" item I carried was a bottle of good 'ol USA BBQ sauce. Being from southern Arizona we're used to fairly spicy food. Spanish food, although very flavorful, is not spicy like we're used to. We found an American market in Leon that carries several varieties of real BBQ sauce...

Taken with my wife's Motorola X4. This was around 0545 as we were leaving Los Arcos. The last street lamp out of town on a misty August morning.

    Physical recovery 2 weeks post-camino

Don't forget your diet. During the Camino the food was much different than at home and the frequency of meals was completely different. If your diet has changed the electrolytes balance in your system will change with your normal diet.
