Just an update, Debit cards with 6-digit PIN (Visa and Mastercard) have no problem withdrawing from ATMs in Paris. Used mainly those of BNP Paribas. Fastcash option up to 400 euros available, with option to take out a variety of bills (from 10 to 50 euro bills). Hope it helps. Will be on my way...

Thank you very much for all your responses. I have contingencies but I guess I am more confident now using my cards in the local ATMs (bank-attached) in Europe.

Dress Code (esp. Shoes) in Michelin restaurant in San Sebastian

Thanks for all the suggestions and experiences. I think I already have in mind a simple ensemble to bring and wear (will actually need them for Bordeaux then SS) and will just send them to Santiago when we’re leaving for SJPdP. Dress Code (esp. Shoes) in Michelin restaurant in San Sebastian

Appreciate the lively response, everyone. If there is one thing I would agree to, the ladies have it easier. I’m ok with bringing an extra shirt and pants just for these venues, its mainly the extra pair of smart shoes that I might end up lugging along that I would consider a bit of a hassle...

Thank you. One quick follow-up: would walking in reverse from Muxia to Finisterre to Santiago be an option or is the route going to be much more of a challenge? I read that you can still get a Compostela from the Pilgrim Center in SdC as the route from Muxia to SdC is a total of 122 kms. But...
