Ingegerdsleden (The Ingegergd pilgrimage trail) in Sweden (Plus S:t Botvid and Erik pilgrimage trail)

Last week I decided to do a small pilgrimage here in Sweden as I couldn't go to Spain. I have heard of short trail between Stockholm Cathedral and Uppsala Cathedral called Ingegerdsleden. To make my walk a bit longer i decided to combine it with 2 other trails. First S:t Botvid's pilgrimage...

    Maybe Levante for 2020, guidebook?

That would be lovely! beatrice.karjalainen@gmail.com Notes from the peers is always a bless to have.

    Maybe Levante for 2020, guidebook?

I have looked there but I really prefer a guide book that I can use without phone, computer and that allows me to add notes etc. Don't have to be stressed out when the phone can't be charged or as on my last camino, died for 3 days if not connected to an outlet. I can alway just take some of the...

    Maybe Levante for 2020, guidebook?

Thanks will have a look at the guide and web site you mention. I don't understand a word in French though but I manage Spanish quite well. Will not look at the videos now as I prefer to have my first impression my self.

    Maybe Levante for 2020, guidebook?

Thanks. Sad to hear that they have moved it to the web. As I prefer on paper to write notes etc. I'm using digital tools at work all day and at the camino I want to be more analog.

    Maybe Levante for 2020, guidebook?

Is it still The Way of St. James from Valencia to Santiago GR 239. With case maps (last copies) (in English) from Asociación “Amigos del Camino de Santiago” de la Comunidad Valenciana, that is the best (only) guide available? I'm aiming for a September/October Camino but if I get get my...

I will do a talk about doing the camino, help requested

Did that when presenting my photo exhibition. Asked them to close their eyes first. It is a good way to start. I agree. Thanks for reminding me.

I will do a talk about doing the camino, help requested

@steve 217 @edandjoan @Felipe Thank you for your advice. I had already prepared my presentation for that evening when I posted my comment but I will remember those things for my next presentation. Most of the audience was not there because they wanted to walk the camino, they wanted "a good...

I will do a talk about doing the camino, help requested

Today it is time again to have a camino talk. Unfortunately I had lost my old presentation but thankful to my self printing down the headings in this post. But now I also have several other caminos behind me so more experience to talk from. This time I'll make sure to save the presentation in...

LIVE from the Camino When you find yourself on the camino in high heels and pen skirt

I use Macabi for 3 reasons; it is water resistant in light rain, it has huge pockets where I can carry nuts, guidebook and some other stuff I need frequently during a day and I can easily switch between long and short skirt. Normally I have it as short but in rain, winds and chilly weather as...

LIVE from the Camino When you find yourself on the camino in high heels and pen skirt

Im used to ups and downs from Mozárabe, San Salvador and Norte. I liked Norte when it comes to nature etc.

LIVE from the Camino When you find yourself on the camino in high heels and pen skirt

But that is standard clothing on my caminos. Sandals and long skirt. How long would that be? Roughly 1850-1900 km? (Approx 50 days). Hmm I have 6 weeks of vacation, around 10 days flex time to use. That is 8 weeks. But one downside I’m not longing back from camino Francés.

LIVE from the Camino When you find yourself on the camino in high heels and pen skirt

Well I had my camino sandals with me and the camino passed my hotel so I could have just gone up there and swapped the shoes.

LIVE from the Camino When you find yourself on the camino in high heels and pen skirt

That is my normal wear in the camino. I have long (Macabi) skirt and sandals.

If You have Walked the Camino - Do you prefer boots or trail runners?

All my caminos had been summer/autumn so sandals all the way. (Well did 2 days in lightweight Salomon boots on my first. But they were taken off on my walk into Pamplona last 4-5 km in day 2 and never worn again). For a winter camino I might used something else.

LIVE from the Camino When you find yourself on the camino in high heels and pen skirt

Visiting Tours for work. Went to the cathedral found the shell marker. If it wasn’t for the foot wear I might have just started to walk. Would be nice to pass here again sometimes with a pilgrims passport in the backpack.
