That’s so great! I really enjoyed seeing the photos of the wall and hope to see it in person at some point!

Virtual Camino Affordable "virtual Camino" app with Street View?

I didn’t know about Terrain! I’m going to explore that tomorrow. Thanks for the tip! I walked 8 miles today in the Columbia River Gorge in Washington state, United States. The Cape Horn trail felt so much like walking down the Pyranees to Roncesvalles which would have been where I was in Spain...

Virtual Camino Affordable "virtual Camino" app with Street View?

Hi! I'm currently using "The Conqueror" app to walk a virtual Camino with a few friends. I agree that it's expensive and I too have no interest in the medal. About 3 months ago, I did the Hadrian's Wall walk to see what the app was like. I actually stopped logging miles about 10 miles from the...

Women over 60 who DON'T take a sleeping bag...

I'll add that having my sleeping bag made me feel cozy and at home each night! It was a familiar and welcome place to crawl into at the end of a long day.

    Husband getting late start

Thanks again everyone for your thoughts. It really has been a journey already talking about how to work this out. We are going with the plan of him starting his Camino alone in SJPP and taking each day as it comes. I believe the alone time will be an important part of his time. So grateful to all!

    Husband getting late start

Due to all the great thoughts on this thread, we really feel like this sudden change in his travel plans is part of his Camino experience. The idea that he will begin his walk alone feels good. He'll start in SJPDP as planned and make the decision each day as to whether he will walk that day or...

Thanks everyone for your responses! I love the different perspectives and they are giving us good food for thought. We are really sitting on the thought for him to go to SJPDP and taking it a day at a time. He doesn't want to miss anything by being focused on catching up with us. So appreciate...

My husband, son and I have been planning to begin our Camino from SJPDP on September 9th of this year. My husband just found out that he has a work obligation that will put him about a week behind my son and I. He would really like to complete the whole walk so he's thinking about walking from...
