On the Camino: One Day at a Time, one Photo at a Time 4.0.

I’m saying goodbye to this thread because the formate for photos has been changed from jpeg to jpg. I use my iPhoto to access this site and submit my photos from there. I don’t know how to change the name so I guess I’ll say audios. I enjoyed it while it lasted. Hope you all enjoy everyone’s...

Awesome!!! July ‘2016 for me. I couldn’t believe there was no one else in the photo. When I went through in 2013 the place was packed so I moved on to Zizar Manor. .

Right 😂 My knees hurt so bad going down...it seemed never ending. In 2013 I got the last bed at alburgue alfar. I saw a line, got in it and lo and behold, claimed the last bed. Camino magic ☺️

    Did Your Camino Plan Work?

Sept ‘13 my first Camino on the Frances. I used the Brierley guide but I deviated from the stages here and there as early as Zibiri. I was new to the trail and really had no plan but to stick to my budget and to finish. I did it in 34 days including my only unplanned rest day, day 21. I woke up...

Light of a New Day Dawning. October 1, 2013 between Sarria and Portomarin. It was so sad to see a lot of these older way markers are gone, including this one. I looked and looked for it in ‘19 but didn’t see it. 😥 oh and all I had to do was use the flash to get that great color. ☺️

September 20, 2013: Down the Old Roman Road (ouch) an alternate past Sahagun to Calzadilla de los Hermanillos. This tiny tienda had everything you’d ever need and the owner was a popular man amongst the locals. A definite hit with the pilgrims too. 😁

So sorry for the long post. ☺️ September 2, 2013: Delayed in Bayonne as they brought a second train car due to all the pilgrims. Borrowed a cell phone to call and cancel my reservation at L’Esprit du Chemin, they have a strict arrival time. I was nervous giving up my bed but was happy for the...
