    Gore tex shoes or boots?

Everyone is different. I wore Keens Gortex boots for summer/spring, autumn/winter caminos in Spain and Portugal as well as a very wet Kumamo Kodo in Japan. I swear by them. Never a blister and use choice of sock layers as thermostat. All the best and Ultreia!

Camino Portuguese is very nice, but...

Agree. Love my Keens boots - I didn't notice cobblestones or even the hobble stones at all!

I am leaving. Not Forum just yet, but Camino.

We can think of this as sad, but life is change and finite. Focus on all the wonderful moments, memories and especially that one person! All the very best. New journeys ahead . Ultreia! 💚

Left the Portugues straight onto Frances. Started Pamplona just leaving Leon, all walking alone, all totally fine. Totally addicted! Buen Camino.

    Organised tour or do-it-yourself?

For me, i can not understand paying a tour company, waste of money. Hardcopy or online guidebook plenty, accomodation- book ahead or not (i never have), pack transfer services available most places if you need them. You can do it all yourself quite easily. All the very best. Buen Camino 👣

After reading threads reporting some pretty scarey experiences by solo women on CP, and I know its impossible to really know, but I am wondering how isolated or common these incidents might be. Could women who have walked any of the Camino Portugues routrs solo please relay your experiences...
