Today I got the scam ‘credit card fail’ email.
So I went to the ‘secure’ messaging service inside the Booking.com App, and the scam message was in there too 🙀.
Not long after that, the hotel also sent a message to say that the scam message was a scam...
Some will see it as an exciting coincidence, and others as a busy disruption…
but whichever camp you’re in, you might want to take a look at the various stages and make plans to meet / avoid as you see fit.
I note in particular Stage 5 & Stage 21 affecting Lucca & Rome.

You might want to consider the time of year when you’re walking.
We walked in May & June a few years ago (BC…) and there were many sections that were *very* muddy. The mud was unavoidable, and we were glad of the greater protection afforded by our boots.

My wife wears compression sleeves - they go from ankle to below knee, with no ‘sock’ part.
