Today’s best crossing, on the way to Fuente de Cantos (at about 13km out of Monesterio)… water cold & moving fast, stones sharp & slippery… but we got through.
Sorry for the slow response…That was the worst of them. Now that the rain has stopped in these parts, the water levels are dropping quite quickly, thankfully.
Unfortunately, they’ve infiltrated that too.
Today I got the scam ‘credit card fail’ email.
So I went to the ‘secure’ messaging service inside the Booking.com App, and the scam message was in there too 🙀.
Not long after that, the hotel also sent a message to say that the scam message was a scam...
Some will see it as an exciting coincidence, and others as a busy disruption…
but whichever camp you’re in, you might want to take a look at the various stages and make plans to meet / avoid as you see fit.
I note in particular Stage 5 & Stage 21 affecting Lucca & Rome.
Happy planning…
You might want to consider the time of year when you’re walking.
We walked in May & June a few years ago (BC…) and there were many sections that were *very* muddy. The mud was unavoidable, and we were glad of the greater protection afforded by our boots.
Please post your list Bob.
Even if Wayne isn’t interested, I know I will be… (we’re hoping to walk the Italian portion later this year, if the various world events permit…)
You’ll probably disqualify my entry: either on the basis that it was not on “The” Camino (but it was on “A” Camino - Le Puy...), or on the basis that it was not part of a Pilgrim Menu (but it was on a menu...), or on the basis that it wasn’t described as a Flan (described as a Tarte), or maybe...
I think you may have accidentally mis-typed...
I believe that the Aubrac is about 1,350m, not 3,000.
(Don’t want people to be scared off with concerns about altitude sickness...)
Not an accommodation sign, but a beer tap sign... in Sauges on the Le Puy, where they trade off the legend/history of “The Beast”.
Apologies, for getting a little off topic...
