    Solo Female Traveller?

As a 70 year old lone female pilgrim (3 Caminos ) I agree with everything that has been said above. #15 post by Brooklinn is so good read it again and again. The only thing I will add is you will be walking through safe areas and you will be so safe, just don't forget to switch on your awareness...

    How does our plan sound?

In 2022 after getting of the boat from Vilanova de Arousa I walked the 8.5 to A Escravitude and stayed at Hostel O Lagar de Jesús. which is a lovely place to stay with a great pilgrims meal. That left 18.5k for the last day. If that is to far for the last day there are plenty of places to stay...

What pushed or invited or drew you to set off for 'The Camino'?

What pushed me to buy my ticket? As a lot of others I first heard about the Camino years ago. At the time I had two very young children and limited holidays. I pushed it to the back of my mind and then forgot about it. Fast forward 35 years the kids have grown up, my husband has died and the BBC...

    Advice on Camino Ingles

I will be walking this route in September with a friend. No need to book through a company it is easy to do it yourself. Look on Gronze.com they have all the information you need. From their home page click on all/other roads then click on English/Ingles.

    Spiritual Variante

In 2022 I also stayed at this hostel and cannot recommend it enough. It was one of the best places I stayed. The next morning I walked to Ribadumia and stayed the night there leaving a comfortable 17k walk the next day.

I feel I need to add my two pennyworth to this thread. I walked my first Camino, CF, Roncesvalles to SDC in 2021 aged 68. I started by carrying my backpack all 5kg of it but soon decided to take advantage of the transfer service, not all of the time there were places I stayed that didn't accept...

Tips and recommendations for an elder pilgrim (90y)

First of all what an amazing experience you have ahead of you. You don't have to stop at the end stages. There are lots of places to stay between stages I did this for most of the CF from Roncesvalles. I had no problems with luggage transfer and stopped in private albergues. If you are taking a...
