Is the Coastal Camino Route Safer from Aggressive Dogs?

Walked from tomar to Santiago on central/espiritual and then onto Mucia. The only time i nearly got bitten, was from a cute little fluffy dog sitting near a restaurant door, between Barcelos and casa fernadas. The usually bigger, guard dogs, tend to behind fences, so less of a threat.. It's...

    Tampons

Change on the trail, at your accommodations or cafe. Chance of leaking, using a pad or period underwear. Cleaning, by giving it a wipe with toilet paper and rinsing it later on at accommodations, and when showering. I purposely trialed out the cup a few months before my first Camino. A...

    First Day Leaving Porto Options

Another option is (walking or metro) to Rubras/Vilar do Pinheiro metro to Rates to Barcelos. The central camino from Porto is a bit industriall/urban, but not dangerous. Plus you'll get the satisfaction with the achievement of walking all the way from Porto cathedral. Also, a camino is not just...

    Equipment question!

Everybody's body is different, You dont know how your body is going to react to long walks until you actually do it. Lugging around just-in-cass stuff, is generally seen as a bad thing in packing discussions. Forgot to add, to my previous message. If you do try a forrest stick out and...

    Spain V Portugal Caminos

What's your focus. I like Portugal for its architecture, food and people. The buildings are more colorful with the bright painting and tiles. Even the churches are more colorful imside, because of the tiles and decoration. The cobblestones give an unique look, although can be hard on the...

And allow some time in Combarro. Walk by the water, by the winding streets and small squares, observe all the crosses and horreos and see if the menus at the restaurants tempt you. Go into the supermarket if you need supplies as there are no shops in armenteria, there's a good Cafe near the...

I'm not fast nor an athlete. I take too many photos. I just find the act of walking relaxing for the mind body and soul. Changes in plans along tbe way?

Before adding on muxia, I had 2 free days.Nearing Tui, and finding the path a bit too crowded for my liking, I thought if I do 2 long days after Tui, and walk directly from the boat to Santiago, I'll be able to squeeze in a less crowded camino from santiago to Muxia. And I dared myself a 34KM...

Camino from Porto - Trekking Poles confiscated at airport!

The steepest bit of that hil climb was not as as steep as the ponte lima hill, then it's only a gradual hill climb. So perhaps not the hardest climb of the walk IMO
