    Things to pass the time?

That is one of my favorite songs to walk to:-) We took some old "Trivia Pursuit" cards that kept us entertained for a while and then passed them on.

    Luggage transport

We used Camino Facile. Very efficient but not the cheapest way to transport your luggage ahead. You can even pre book and get all the tags before you leave home then you don't have to be finding money to put in the envelope each day. Draw back - you have to meet up with your bags each day so...

    Hotels Double or Single?

But a double in Europe is just that. If you are from the USA and are used to a King size bed you will probably have to get used to being cozy together 😆

Meseta and the Camino of Life

I think my favorite part of the Frances is the Meseta. But then I haven’t been there in mid summer - that could be a different experience.

Two nations divided by a common language?

Ah! You must be part of the newer generation of washing up bowls😀

Two nations divided by a common language?

It was because the dishes got washed in the bowl. Back when no one had electric dishwashers. The bowl was called the “washing up bowl”. That is what I remember.

    Will it EVER slow down?

Just hope it is helping Spain’s economy.

    Knee don't stop Mee

Maybe you will just have to wait until you are old enough for Medicare to kick in and then you have a brand new set of knees for free. I just had bi-lateral knee surgery in January and I am back "in training" for my next Camino.

    Travel and Health Insurance

Likewise - if you are in the USA AAA (the auto club) has great insurance. We used it on our last Camino and one of our group got totally reimbursed when a flight delay and rerouting caused them to forfeit a day excursion in Barcelona ($150) and their prepaid hotel room before heading out to Leon...

Different perspective on those Sarria crowds and young people

How very inspiring. It always amazes me how very courageous most of these young children are in coping with cancer and other life threatening illnesses.😍

Bus from Santiago airport to Triacastela

Yes, I would be interested as we would plan to start in Tricastela and walk one day to Samos and then on to Sarria. Not sure how "message" works :-(

Bus from Santiago airport to Triacastela

Next spring I plan to make an introduction of the Camino to a dear friend who probably can't walk more than 10 miles per day. However, she does want to do the last 100 Kms and get her Compostela. I thought the walk from Triacastela to Santiago by way of Samos would fill the bill (I love the...

Arrrgh. . . It's Too Red. Will It Be Like Carrying An Easter Egg?

But it will be easier to spot if someone tries to run off with it😆

    Ultimate short cut

At least it’s cheaper than a trip to the Moon. 🙄

    New to Camino

I will celebrate my 80th birthday next year by walking a shorter Camino- Tricastella to Santiago, with a new pair of knees. Last year, with very carefull planning and training I was able to walk on well worn knees from Pamplona (albeit slowly at times and sending my big pack ahead each day) to...
