Would my answer be the Camino? Find out by reading my blog. ;)

https://mycaminospring2017.wordpress.com/ A few years ago, I was one of many folks who watched “The Way” with Martin Sheen and Emilio Estevez. If you saw it, you were probably curious and inspired as was I. I immediately put it on my bucket list. Things were going well in my life: I had...

Etapa 3- Salas to Tineo.. Missed sign

I noticed that the signage on El Norte is great. Arrows and signs everywhere. Hard to miss. But the Primitivo is completely different. The shells can be missed if you don't watch carefully. And that is what we did on Etapa 3. We ended up on the busy highway for at least 1 hour, avoiding cars and...

    Cho Pat

Happy Friday I will be heading to Irun in less than a month. I have purchased the cho pat knee pads that fit around the entire knee. A few days ago I tried them out on part of the Peruvian Inca trail. They seemed to work, but they got super sweaty and left marks on my knees. I have an appt with...

Staying an Extra Day in which towns

We have planned about 30 days from Irun via Primitivo to Santiago. We have about 6 days buffer. We would like to choose towns/cities that are quaint and not to be missed. We heard San Sebastian is a must see, but we could skip Bilbao (except for the museum). Would love your opinions. Thanks!

Irun to San Sebastian GI-636 or GI-3440

HI All! Im looking at threads and see that many folks walk GI-636. Based on Google Maps, this looks like a pretty straight-forward route but it's a highway. GI-3440 seems to have better views and the road is much quieter. It's a bit longer, but not by much. Does anyone have opinions on either...

Del Norte - May 2017 (poco town sightseeing recommendations)

Hi Everyone, I keep reading all the posts about your experiences. Thank you so much, I've taken notes and am learning each day. Question - we plan to start in Irun mid-May and then join the Primitivo trail. We plan on about 4 weeks, knowing it might take longer. If you were going to spend a...

Wide Hips - Backpack for Women

I hope you can help, I've spent hours and hours trying on backpacks with weights of 15lbs and 20lbs. I recently tried an Osprey Kyte 46 with 20 lbs and it seemed to work well, but the shoulder straps might be hitting my armpits too much as I was not aware until the REI staff mentioned it to me...
