    Last fall I was at the place where you go left for the trail or stay on the road. A local man saw me and told me to stay on the road because it would be safer in the rain. Barely saw any cars. A wet day but I made it safely. Next time I’d like to try the trail.

    I also noticed a Lisbon Hostel Terminal 3 near the airport but not as close. Looking more closely at Google Maps I see the Terminal 4 hostel is a few blocks away, still a short walk.

    Thanks, that helps. On my first Camino I almost always reserved directly with the albergue, so I forgot about booking.com and the ratings it has. And my pilgrim focused mind also forgot there are hostels for everyone, not just pilgrims.

    @Steven Dwyer, I had no problem using the discount on the website. I could not get the discount to apply in the Renfe app on my iPhone. I contacted customer service and they said (at that time in Sept/Oct, maybe that's changed) the Dorada Tarjeta discount only worked on the website not the app...

    When I was using my Tarjeta Dorada in September and October 2023 I had to buy tickets using a web browser on my phone. The Renfe app had an option for this discount as a type of ticket but no way to enter the discount at checkout.
