    Bank verification with Spanish SIM

Thanks! I’ve not heard of anything like this, so it sounds like research is in order.

    Bank verification with Spanish SIM

@Sandra Wolf Very wise advice (if you’ll pardon the pun!) to remind me that having multiple options is a good thing.

    Bank verification with Spanish SIM

I’m with Rogers and their daily roaming charges are prohibitively expensive for my six week trip hence wanting a Spanish eSIM. I’m comfortable using WhatsApp for calls which helps and in a true emergency would naturally not care about the cost of calls. Not sure I’m ready to switch providers yet...

    Bank verification with Spanish SIM

I’m also with Rogers so your information is very relevant David. If I get an eSIM package online before I go I’m assuming I would also know my Spanish number to change to should the bank allow. Am I correct in this assumption?
  5. Liddybee

    Bank verification with Spanish SIM

Useful info thanks. It sounds like I should chat with my bank before making too many decisions.
  6. Liddybee

    Bank verification with Spanish SIM

Unfortunately, my bank does require this even from the app.
  7. Liddybee

    Bank verification with Spanish SIM

Interesting ! Which provider did you add that would allow this? I wonder if my home country provider would also need to allow this.

    Bank verification with Spanish SIM

Question… I’ve read with interest several threads on using a Spanish SIM or eSIM while on the Camino and I’m curious how people handle two factor authentication when logging into a bank site for example. Doesn’t that authentication code go to the phone’s registered number and if so how do you...

Too late for dinner in SJPP?

Great suggestion! It’s definitely worth a shot

Too late for dinner in SJPP?

Thanks…it’s what I suspected. I’m assuming I’ll have to find a place that put doesn’t include an evening meal and head out to eat.

Too late for dinner in SJPP?

Greetings all! I have flights booked for the end of August and with the timing I will not be arriving into St.Jean before 8 o’clock in the evening. I was hoping to stay at Beilari but I imagine an 8:00 to 8:15 arrival will be too late for dinner. Can anyone tell me what time they serve the meal...

    OBSOLETE COVID THREAD Green Pass

I think this is what is referred to in this document as the ‘activity’ health pass which is different from the health pass that gets you into France. At least that’s my understanding. Check the bottom part of this document specifically. Good luck and Buen Camino...

    Crossing from France

This is what I’ve seen so far. im interpreting this as two cards.…a Health card to get in and an Activities card for internal flights, restaurants etc. maybe im reading too much into it? https://ca.ambafrance.org/Update-on-the-Covid-Health-Pass-in-France

    Crossing from France

I’m currently scheduled to fly from Canada to Paris to Biarritz later in August and I’m struggling to find out how and where we get the required Activities Card in order to take the internal flight and to be able to eat in restaurants etc. Do you know if we can get these at the airport...

    Sleeping Bags still required?

I experienced that pre-COVID too. It was always a delightful surprise when handed bedding and towel at registration. Luxury!

    Sleeping Bags still required?

That’s very useful info thanks, and seal the decision to take a sleeping bag.

Well said fellow Albertagirl! We thought long and hard about our risks and rewards and decided to pay our money and take our chances as they say. There’s certainly added stress for travel these days And for the foreseeable future.
