I particularly like Windy - because of a couple of things -
1. you use it anywhere - which means that you become very familiar with it
2. on treks/biking - if it's overcast and you suspect rain coming - one glance at the radar usually is enough to work out the time to the first drops -...
agree with windy (in apps) - very hard to beat even if as a backup - you can see anywhere on the planet and it's usually very accurate - as accurate as others - the layers are impressive, the favourites are easy to use
of course one needs a smart phone - so those who don't carry one are...
thank you -- I'm a little concerned about water on the way for a while at least - but, otherwise - well, I'm in home country at first - it's a very beautiful part of the world as you know and a glorious place to begin a long journey from - this was from my home this morning about ??? 7 ish ---...
how's the leg feeling?
I too have brought a bike for the journey -- Auxerre to Santiago and return possibly -
I had an opportunity with a passing boat who wanted to buy an Ebike and were happy to sell their normal bike 100 Euro - so - here it is - it'll have bucket paniers by the time I...
the problem is that one cannot control others
that may well be a practice that one practices for oneself - but, no everyone will do that - indeed, humans are quite irresponsible creatures - note the amount of people one finds disease ridden in the workplace - coughing, sneezing, spreading snot...
here's the reality -- there's a heap of Covid about - that's just fact
as the summer moves on and people congregate in large groups - including dormitory sleeping -
lots and lots and lots of people are going to catch Covid --- symptom free or not
here's the story - if your country says that...
tarping or tenting every second night would halve the accommodation cost. 2 out of 3 nights would cut it by 2/3
just stay at the ones you come across that suit.
1000 years ago - there wouldn't have been such a choice of accommodation
:)
well, I don't think many on here would have liked James tone either :) indeed, in comparison, from what I've read, I'm a conservative angel in comparison :)
Jesus didn't call him and brother 'sons of thunder' for nothing :) these days snowflakes would melt in the tons as he walked
yes...
I really don't know why you are concerned about a few days - you should be doing nothing but resting and drawing until the leg settles - the only real option for moving anywhere for a few days is if a few of us get a hospital bed on wheels and push you around (you'll need your foot elevated...
ya can carry an easel on a bike :):) --- easel, beret, brush ------------- you'll look the part
oh, you have an annoying level of talent btw - :) lovely work
if one is landing in France and wants a sim -- then going on to other parts of europe - here's an option
if you get a Free Mobile sim - and you go with the E19.99 a month option - free will work for you in any country in Europe that I know of --
your monthly data allowance will drop from 210...
it's rules all over the place and different everywhere - I left france for croatia and returned 4 weeks later to find a different world - masks inside to no masks - different in each place on the way - got to croatia and it was like 'what's covid' - on the return, the germans had a huge...
“Soooooo… the worry about the QR Code turned out to be much ado about nothing.”
Uh huh -
and that’s Europe generally.
Life will return to normal after a few days of somewhat normal sleep and food- have a lovely time
Arrh yes, would that not be wonderful.
Last year a few of us were due for our temporary residency to be renewed around the same time.
We all got our strictly specified documents together and 2 of us had our compulsory appointment for interview on one day - another couple had theirs about 2...
Hi ya, I can understand that. The French can be the same, but one learns to stop stressing about it . I was lucky to meet a young friend a who races for a living. He’s Ozzie and for French visas for many types of visa one has to go for an interview in Sydney. Doesn’t matter if you are sitting on...
I’ve no doubt T
My experience here is that I’ve had about 2 bazillion mandatory things I’ve been told to have and about 3 have ever been asked for.
The only things I’ve so far come a gutser with have been unexpected
Like a document you have and they say - get a newer one - we don’t like the...
The betting is that almost for certain whatever you are deeply anxious about for European travel - no one will ever ask for or want a look at
Mostly in Europe - a lot of things are a shrug of the shoulders
If you look like a fleeing refugee atm with a strange passport or no passport atm -...
