    Affordable transport options from Porto Airport to historic old town

    Took the Metro last September from the airport to downtown. Give it a try. Found the ride easy, quick, clean and inexpensive. Took around 1700 so the cars were “full” but not so crowded you couldn’t sit down. Part of the experience.

    Flights to/from the Portuguese Camino

    We just completed the Portuguese and flew into and out of Porto. Getting back to Porto from SDC was super easy using Alsa or Flix buses. Not expensive and only a few hours. Can drop at the airport for a flight or spend the night for a flight home next day.

    Took an ALSA bus just last month. Easy trip, couple stops. We took the bus to the airport for a flight out early (0500) the next day. Easy to book online.

    Credit Card Nightmare

    We are just back from Spain and Portugal where we used Apple Pay. Had credit cards but never used. Apple Pay was accepted by large and small businesses. Made travel very easy.

    Quick question; if traveling Portugal-Amsterdam-US, do I need to check in with an agent? I have checked in online, have boarding pass, all documents, carry on luggage….can I proceed immediately to security and passport control? Thanks Basic question but appreciate the help.
