    For hand washing I use Legarto bar soap purchased in Spain. I like it so much, especially for stains, that I make sure to bring a bar home (to the US) with me!

    I used baggage transport on parts of Del Norte last fall. Sometimes there was no pick up where we were staying so I had to carry my bag a few blocks to a pick up location. So I would choose a backpack.

    Camino del norte or frances as a solo female traveler

    We walked Del Norte this fall. I felt very safe. We met many people. And there were far fewer english speakers among the locals than on the Francaise. The walking is harder but the scenery is stunning! Well worth it!

    There is often taxi info posted in the albergue. Also we have been asked to message a screen shot of our location from a map app. And they can always ask another peregrino who speaks Spanish to help them. We walked Del Norte last fall. It’s gorgeous. Enjoy!
