Oh yes it is marked as "centro del camino" here:

Several centros ? This Camino is really magical !
Anyway, if you want a half Compostela, you have to go to the church of the Virgen Peregrina, where you can...

It is marked on this page as "monument - memorial": 2,9 km from the center of Sahagún.
I do not know if it is possible to avoid the crowd on the last 100 km of Camino Frances, but I have a little advice:
- don't worry: you will find accomodations (more pilgrims mean more accommodations)
- think about the target: the others should not be a problem, because, you succeed in reaching...
This picture is a detail of the south entrance of Santiago cathedral. Look at the Omega and the Alpha: they are in reverse order (omega first): that means that Santiago is not the end, but a new start in your life...
What you are feeling is well-known.
It is named "Camino Blues".
While walking on the Camino, our life is changing dramatically. We talk to people we would never had talked otherwise, and our needs become very simple: where to sleep ? what to eat ? where is the Camino ?

- if you are found of shrines, Virgen de la Barca en Muxia is a conveninent target.
My 2 cents:
1. Do not be afraid. Avoid blister with double socks and/or anti-chafing cream. Camino will provide.
2. León to Santiago is very nice (Astorga, Ponferrada, Melide...). I do not know the Portuguese yet but I am sure it is nice too. However, for a first time, Francés should be more...
I do not believe there are "official" stamps for Camino. The stamps aim at showing that you have walked enough to get a Compostela.
On the sample below you will find stamps from churches, albergues, bars...
I walked from León to Santiago by the end of October, beginning of November: 12 days waking, 12 days raining.
Galicia is usually wet, but in fall it is worst. If you can change your mind about starting date, choose another date.
Otherwise, do remember that from the 1st of November you should use...
Portomarin is the very location for today:
- It is not a harbour, despite the name of "porto".
- It is even not seaside, while called "marin".
- Its several centuries old church has been built on 1962...
