Unfortunately, no. I'm working on him (91 yo) to tease out more specifics. He loaned the book to a priest friend, and we've not been able to learn where he's currently serving so Dad contact him about the book.
My father read a book about the Camino written by a Catholic Priest from a small town in Europe. The book was fairly detailed in capturing life of pilgrim. We have perused all pics of books on Amazon in hopes of he'd remember the book on sight, no luck.
I realize this is very little to go on...
Someone inquired on a FB page, whether the Camino Ninja app will be adding the Norte route. If there is information that can be passed along, I'm happy to do so. TY!
The new parador in Muxia is stunning and was the perfect way to end our walk last Fall. However, we did take a cab to Fisterre for a day and overnight to walk up to the lighthouse and see the “end of the earth.”
In perusing Gronze for places to stay in Markina and I noted that 1 of the 2 options (Hostel-Rural House Intxauspe) temporarily closed. Emailed them and will share any updates.
Thanks for the suggestion, yes, have utilized Gronze's suggestions and that's how I learned of the multiple day stay requirement for a number of places.
I am planning to walk the Norte beginning in mid-August thru September. While the timing lines up with another trip, its also right in the middle of holiday season for Spaniards. Starting to get a little worried about availability of accommodations as the support system is not as robust as on...
I didn't feel the Ultraventure were as roomy as the running shoes. As a result, I ordered both a 1/2 size and wide. The wide fit more like my regular Topo running shoe. Perfect combo for me.
Another Topo lover and wearer, 1/2 size larger than normal, wore with Injinji & Darn Tough medium socks. Shoes lasted the entire Frances and the bottoms look almost brand new! Also took a pair of Ooofos slides for evening and recovery from long day.
I, too, have Morton's neuroma on my left foot. Was very worried about the walk. My orthopedist recommended these metatarsal pads and they were a lifesaver. Only had issue 1 time and it was because I
positioned the pad incorrectly.
