I’m doing Cele Variant but taking an overnight visit from Figeac by bus to Racamadour to explore it. Also, would it be worth the same as Rocamadour to take a bus from Figeac to Cajarc and explore it, as well?
Someone or veteran please help! Once I get to Figeac planning to stay there one night. Next morning I plan to take a bus to Rocamadour and spending one night there and then taking a bus next morning back to Figeac and spending another night there. Back to walking on the Podiensis I plan to take...

In the Cicerone guidebook and info for lodging and accommodations listings what does the euro sign followed by a hyphen (or negative sign) mean? I am assuming it means payment by donation.
Can someone tell me when doing Cele Valley Variant what villages to stay at to go to Pech Merle cave paintings and to Rocamadour? Also, what bus or train do you take to each (Pech Merle and Rocamadour) and how to make reservations for Pech Merle cave paintings?
I’ve seen comments that you don’t need to take a sleeping bag but just sleeping bag liner on Puy-En-Velay. But is that true for April? Also, what temperature rating is recommended for sleeping bag where it will be used indoors? I could see one being too hot in one rated at low temperature.
I’ve looked in the legend of symbols for “WC” used throughout the guidebook of the Via Podiensis by Cicerone and can’t find it. Can someone familiar with the guidebook tell me what WC stands for?
In the Cicerone guidebook by Whitson I don’t see any mention of restaurants in Le Puy. Not even by symbol on the map for Le Puy. What restaurants are there in Le Puy? Also, does Miam Miam Dodo provide info on restaurants?
I’m walking the Camino Le Puy starting April 13th or 14th, 2023. This is the guidebook I’m considering purchasing:
2022 edition Camino de Santiago - Via Podiensis: Le Puy to the Py…by Dave Whitson
But, should I wait for the 2023 edition to come out or is it already available?
Thank you
For my stay in Le Puy before beginning my walk of Camino Le Puy I haven’t made plans as to where I’m going to stay and restaurant(s) I will eat at. I plan to stay in Le Puy a day if not two. My general plan is to stay in Demi-pensions for most stages unless I learn of a really good restaurant in...
Can someone tell me which specific publication and edition (latest) of the Miam Miam Dodo for the Camino Le Puy (Le Puy to SJPDP) I should purchase?
Thank you
I’m interested in making lodging reservations (2-3 days advance) via help from the tourist offices while walking the Camino Le Puy. Can someone tell me how frequent the tourist offices are on the Camino Le Puy? And how can I found out which villages have them?
Thanks
