Hi everyone I lost my stage map from the St Jean pilgrim office somewhere along the way on our Camino. Just wondering if anyone has a photo front and back. I have a photo of the back of ours taken the day before I lost it. It’s sentimental to me and would just like a photo.
Thanks Melissa
96 L Remember you are encompassing the entire bag waist belt etc so it will need to be bigger than your pack size. I think the 75 liter would have worked too. Again you can order both sizes try then send back the one you do not need. And btw: I’m the president of the overthinker club. Seriously...
You could also get an apartment. A 1 bedroom is sometimes 50-60 a night. Usually you will have a washer and can buy groceries and prepare some meals which also saves money over pilgrim meals. Try to hit big cities during the week. Prices are always higher on weekend.
We just threw ours in a 19.99 dollar folding duffle from Amazon and checked it. Everything arrived through three legs just fine. CLT to JFK to BCN to PNA. Defiantly protected the straps and loops.
Hands down go with the 44L with a few thoughts. We’ve never regretted having more space just have the discipline not to throw in stuff beyond your original packing list. . Also think beyond Camino and what you already have in your lineup of packs. Order both packs from Osprey try them out with...
I just wanted to make recommendations for lodging for the last few stages as we’ve had a remarkable experience.
In Burgos we booked through booking.com at Catedral Apartamentos Burgos Deluxe. Around $99 a night if you want an apartment. We are family traveling together. Wanted a kitchen and we...
That’s what we’ve found over and over again. Also they carry different medicines. We got a pseudoephedrine/ Tylenol combined med at the Pharmacy in Nájera but couldn’t find it again until we got to Frómista. Great pharmacy here is Frómista. Got a compounded cream at the pharmacy for muscle and...
I’ve posted a few times in the last few days just to offer the few valuable tips that I’ve learned along the way so far. I’m not even sure I’ve ever formally introduced myself. I’m Melissa from Virginia and a mom of ten. I’m here with two of my sons and our Camino has not gone perfectly. But...
I wanted to send out recommendations while I was still on the trail. This is a great option for an Albergue in Pamplona. Directly beside cathedral situated in the middle of downtown with great bed options. We stayed overnight but loved the private triple room, with a bathroom just outside the...
Recommendation to stop in Navarette outside of Logrono. This town have the most amazing Cathedral and center square but the real gem is a little cafe called Bocatera Move and an attached brand new albergue that is clean and wonderful. The cafe owners are a husband and wife team that love the...
Hi everyone again thank you. In case you are interested we went to the pharmacy tonight and I asked for pseudoephedrine. They were able to get us Pharmafren which is 200 mg ibuprofen and 30 mg pseudoephedrine. Hopefully this will help someone.
Thank you so much for your support. We took him to the health clinic before they closed. The doctor listened to him and wrote prescriptions for an extra inhaler and some Mucinex type medicine. Got to the pharmacy and got all the e tea reinforcements. Thank you for your practical help. Exactly...
Also I always carry Sudafed with me when I travel but I took it out of my medical kit because of the pseudoephedrine and ephedrine laws. I didn’t want to even come close to causing a problem. Now I wish I would have left them in my kit.
The clerk recommended only homeopathic remedies that are OTC. A mint scented nasal spray and bronchialdialator of some sort that the active ingredient was menthol. He has a portable nebulizer at home with both Albeuterol and pulomocort but he didn’t bring it. Not thinking he would need it. He’s...
We are in Navarette just outside of Logrono. I’m walking with my two sons 23 and 18. The older one has asthma and got a cold which exacerbates his asthma. He brought inhalers with him and we have a small amount of mucinex with us but not enough. We went to the pharmacy today and they said we...
And you can see if your hotel will provide transport. I booked our hotel through booking.com and transportation from the airport was an option. The hotel was wonderful and the people that ran it were fantastic. They even had a moderately stocked kitchen in case you’re too tired or overwhelmed to...
Hey Barry I just did this a week ago. The taxi driver out front of the airport charged me 110 euros from the airport to SJPDP. He is an honest guy. He was friendly but be aware all the cab drivers drive very fast. He took me right to the hotel helped us with our bags and was honest.
